So you have anxiety too? Now tell me, are you looking for a new way to deal with it? Are you sick of trying things that don’t work? Well, I have an idea for you.
Look, I’m not saying running is the answer for you too. Everyone’s different. It’s worth a shot though, right?
Let me start with how running helped me over the years.
Running never left me in the dark like everyone else does when things in my life turned to hell. It helped get through my darkest days. I have turned my back on running, but it always welcomes me back with open arms as if I never left.
It’s the one thing I can count on to free my mind of all the kudos.
Some days my anxiety is so bad, I can’t breathe or think straight. Running clears my head from all the negativity. It feels like as if all the negativity leaves me back during my run.
After running, I feel positive and free for my thoughts. My anxiety disappears into the air or at least it feels like it does. I also feel the aftermath in the morning.
I don’t wake up with anxiety. I don’t get as irritated as often. I don’t get lost in my thoughts. I don’t put myself down as often. I don’t overthink too much. I don’t feel anxious.
I’m a better person when I run. I personally like to run outside and listen to music that gets me motivated. I prefer to run outside because I don’t think about how far or little I ran. I also enjoy looking at nature versus machines and other people.
Look, I know running outside isn’t for everyone. It does matter where you prefer to run, just give it a try and don’t give up to easily on running.
If running ends up not working for you, then move on and continue your journey on looking for a new way to cope with anxiety.
