35 Things I Learned About Myself After Becoming A Parent 

The day you became a parent your life would never be the same. You will learn more than you ever could imagine about family, friends, life, love and most importantly myself.

  1. 1. Family members, who haven’t talked to you in years, will want to be part of your life.
  1. Friends will come and go.
  2. Your life isn’t about you anymore.
  3. Some days will be the happiest days of your life.
  4. You become a whole new person.
  5. Friends who stick by your side become family.
  6. Family members will always have an option about everything.
  7. Friends will judge your parenting.
  8. Family members will judge you on how to do things.
  9. Life begins to have a whole new meaning.
  10. You become pickier with friends because it’s not only you now.
  11. Life will never be the same.
  12. You will make an effort to have your family in your kid’s (kids’) life.
  13. Some days will be the hardest days to pass through, but you power through them.
  14. Friends with kid(s) are the people you talk to more often.
  15. Family members will compare your child(rem) to theirs.
  16. Friends start to have a whole new meaning.
  17. Life starts to have a meaning.
  18. Your life will never be the same.
  19. You discover new things about yourself.
  20. You learn how to love two people (if you’re still together with the father/mother).
  21. You become a role model.
  22. Everything you do reflects on your child(ren)’s life.
  23. You have to become someone you want your child(ren) to look up to when he or she grows up.
  24. Learning from your mistakes has a whole new meaning.
  25. Mistakes must be learned and never happen again.
  26. Learning to appreciate the little things helps you get through your day.
  27. A smile from your little one(s) can lift you up instantly.
  28. Your kid(s) laughter will bring you out of any dark place.
  29. You learn to life day by day.
  30. Love is like nothing you even knew before.
  31. You learn to love differently.
  32. Love has a new meaning.
  33. Love becomes even more important than you ever imagined.
  34. Lastly, you look into our child(ren)’s eyes and see the world in a different light.

The list could go on and on because you’re learning something new every day. Parenthood has its ups and downs, but in the end, it’ all worth it.
