*All About The Book*

What Are Germs? breaks down EVERYTHING in simple terms for younger children and older children as well. The book is filled with flaps, which keeps kids involved in the story as you read. It’s part of Usborne’s Lift-the-flap Very First Question and Answers series. The narrative of the book is a little girl who guides the reader through the pages. It starts off what are germs than explains the differences between viruses and bacteria. Then the book moves into where germs live and how quickly they can spread. It also explains how germs spread from person to person. Kids will also learn how the body fights germs, how taking medicines helps kill germs, and how to stop germs. On every paper, kids are also reminded how important washing their hands really is after using the bathroom, sneezing, etc. Kids are gross little creatures. The book helps them understand how to keep germs away instead of spreading them around.

Your kids fall in love with the flaps because it adds fun towards a book filled with facts. They’ll enjoy learning in a fun way about germs. The book doesn’t come off another learning book to kids. It’s more like a book they can be involved with as facts being presented to them. Kids laugh at how gross some of the facts are because they get a kick out of being gross.

As a parent, you love how your kids are learning about germs. You may even learn a few new things about germs yourself. The book will also remind you how much you hate germs. It will remind you should clean everything now because germs are creeping into your house. Warning: if you hate germs, you should have cleaning products close by.

*My Daughter’s and My Reaction*

My daughter loves being involved in the book. She opens the flaps when I’m ready and sometimes before I am. She loves talking about germs all the time now. I swear she asks me if germs are on everything. She also understands why it’s so important to wash your hands. My daughter finds the illustrations of the germs cute. I had to explain to her that germs are way grosser. She finds this disappointing and now hates germ altogether.

I love the book because I’m always telling her to wash her hands. She never understands why to understand this book. I love how she’s asking me what has germ because it means the book is teaching her something important about germs. I’m also fascinated by how much she’s learning from the flaps and book in general. I love seeing her eyes light up when she’s reminds something from the book.

***I have great news!!!!***

What are Germs is part of the special after you order $40 and more. You get What is Poop and What are Germs for the price of one, which is 12.99 for two. You’re getting one book for free then! I jumped on this deal myself because I wanted my daughter to have these two books.
