*All About the Book*

Little Bear Needs Glasses is extravagant book for children who are having trouble seeing and need glasses. The books shows kids how wearing glasses is okay and a lot of people wear glasses. It helps children feel confident in glasses. Kids may also start to connect the book to people around them who wear glasses, such as mommy, daddy, etc. The book comes with strong reusable stickers on a plastic sheet, which is small enough to store in the books. Don’t forget to always put the sheet back, so it doesn’t get lost.

Kids love the reusable glasses stickers. The storyline becomes more appealing with the stickers because they get to interact with the book. Kids can either listen and place the glasses as a grown up reads or do it on their own. The book has a simple concept, so kids can pick up fast enough to do on their own. Kids may get a kick out of how ridiculous Little Bear looks with other animals’ eyes.

Parents will love the book itself, but hate the reusable sticker sheet. They will love how their kids engage with the book. The book will make them wonder, why didn’t I have this book growing up, especially if they had glasses growing up. Parents will get annoyed with the stickers because they’re not attached to the book. The stickers are on a separate sheet. It’s super easy to lose. Parents will totally forget about this annoyance when they watch kids laugh and having fun with Little Bear as he tries in glasses.

*Our Reaction*

My daughter loves to sit down and put the glasses on Little Bear. She says, “That’s not right” throughout the book until she get to Little Bear’s paint. She then says, “That’s perfect.” My daughter loves to interact with the book, while I’m doing dishes. She goes to her room, grabs her book, then sits at the table, and put glasses on Bear. She loves to also put the glasses on the other animals too. My daughter also loves to have me read it while she puts the glasses on.

I love how one of my favorite children’s literary characters, Little Bear, is getting glasses. I also love his new make over in the book. The details of his fur are so eye-catching and memorizes me. He looks so red for a cartoon. I like how the glasses are all different shapes and sizes just like real glasses. I really wish I can this book as a kid because I hated my glasses and would only read them in school or if I had too. Maybe I would have looked my glasses now. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

What a cute book! My kids will definitely be wearing glasses and, even though they’re being raised around people who wear them and like playing with fake glasses, I’m afraid the transition won’t be easy, especially since they’ll likely be in school and kids can be so mean. Definitely filing this away for probably the very not too far off future!
